Pentagal has been building several hundred manually operated Hot Air Leveling systems since 1982
Pentagal can look back on over 50 years in special machine construction and over 40 years of experience in Hot Air Leveling system construction. Since 1982, under the management of Hans-Georg Schlaeger, the company has built several hundred hand-operated Hot Air Leveling systems. Dr. Sabine Schlaeger-Diegel, the daughter of the main shareholder Hans-Georg Schlaeger and co-partner, has also been a member of the management team since 2002. The company founder Hans-Georg Schlaeger passed away in 2023. Frank Winter joined the company in 1989 and took over the technical management over the years.

Since some years, Pentagal has also been making a name for itself as a special machine manufacturer for special machines related to tinning. As a "global player", the export share is over 80%. The countries supplied include the USA, Japan, China, India, various countries in South America, Scandinavia and Africa as well as most European countries. Pentagal has been successfully represented at the following trade fairs for many years: Productronica in Munich and IPC-Show in the USA. Pentagal is one of the 12 of many hundreds of exhibitors who have been exhibiting at Productronica for over 40 years. Pentagal is also represented by its own agencies in the USA, Canada, Asia, Russia, India, Poland, Italy and Spain.
In the 1980s, the hand-operated Penta Hot Air Leveling systems were the first systems to create a much more pleasant and less stressful working environment for the operator by being built as a closed system and thus achieving noise and vapor insulation. As the first diagonal tinning systems worldwide, Penta Hot Air Leveling systems set further standards.
Even today, innovation, user and customer orientation, top quality and environmental compatibility and sustainability are among the company's top priorities. For precisely these reasons, the developers faced the problem of building a fully automatic vertical Hot Air Leveling system that is more cost-effective, space-saving, available and ecological than previous horizontal automatic tinning systems. Years of experience in plant engineering and intensive customer feedback led to PENTA AUTOMATIC, the world's first fully automatic vertical Hot Air Leveling machine. Many well-known companies have already been able to see the numerous advantages of PENTA Automatic for themselves. These include companies such as AT&S AG, Brautmeier GmbH, EPC International, Fuba Tunisie, Green Source Fabrication LLC, Schweizer Electronic AG, Schaltungsdruck Storz, SEL Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories; Serigroup and many more. In 2012, Pentagal developed a PENTA AUTOMATIC with interchangeable solder pot for leaded and lead-free solder for Schweizer Electronic.
The latest development is a manual Hot Air Leveling system for flexible printed circuit boards from 0.1 mm, which can also be used for normal boards up to 5.0 mm.
